Survey Coordinator/Project Manager

Williston, ND

Job Summary: 

The Survey Coordinator/Project Manager will have responsible charge of all assigned projects and related aspects including field personnel and technical staff. The successful candidate will be highly proficient with Trimble Business Center, AutoCad Civil 3D, total stations, and Trimble GPS. We are looking for someone with +/- 10 years of progressive experience in surveying field work, office work, and project management. The candidate should have strong written skills, with relevant experience in client communications and project execution.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • The selected candidate must be able to pass background and drug tests, and have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Licensed Land Surveyor/LSIT preferred but not required
  • 10 years’ experience in Land Surveying
  • Operational understanding of GPS and survey equipment
  • Strong electronic design skills, Civil3D preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts
  • Able to work independently and with the team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Equipment Coordinator

Houston, TX, or Denver, CO

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for distribution, tracking and coordination of all company owned and rental equipment
  • Responsible for conducting maintenance and repairs
  • Testing and programming equipment for deployment to field
  • Technical support for field staff, including the ability to troubleshoot equipment failures in the field

 

 

Business Development Representative

Greater Texas Area

 Duties & Responsibilities:

 Develop new and expand established business. 

  • Increase revenue opportunities through direct sales efforts, such as calling on key clients and following up with customers.
  • Establish, foster and maintain a proactive relationship with key contacts and decision makers.
  • Pursue face to face meetings, discussions and development opportunities with existing and potential customers.
  • Provide key information (i.e. working tactical plans, weekly summary status, future activity calendar, business plan details, etc.)
  • Consult on approach strategies in collaboration with operations and management personnel through regular briefings.
  • Participate in development of annual business plan and quarterly refresh of the business plan
  • As requested or required to provide supplemental cold calling meeting setting
  • Develop, populate and refresh call lists at a minimum once per quarter
  • Gather pricing intelligence and work directly with Management to develop pricing strategies.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Operations in securing customer contracts and MSA’s.
  • Maintain an up-to-date, detailed customer database including discussion topics, action plans, follow-up requirements, and schedules.
  • Become familiar with market needs, competition and trends through customer calls, industry contacts and participation in industry organizations, trade shows and conferences

Survey Data Technician 

Brunswick, ME, Pittsburgh, PA or Asheville, NC 

Job Summary: The Survey Data Technician performs office data reductions, calculations and checks for a predominately gas and oil survey company

  • Convert field survey data to computer map form using AutoCAD Civil 3D 2015 and Trimble Business Center software and perform associated mapping and records work as assigned.
  • Prepare as-built drawings and databases of construction projects.
  • Review client’s plans for compliance with surveying protocols and company standards.
  • Prepare maps of the new project areas for inclusion into GIS.
  • Prepare specialty maps for client use.
  • Maintain the horizontal and vertical control database.
  • Prepare alignment files (.RXLs) utilizing Trimble Business Center
  • Prepare specialty maps for client use.
  • Check daily field notes for completeness, accuracy and compliance with company format
  • Assist field crews with calculations, create base files, and maintain current versions
  • Determine that all project survey tasks have been completed, reviewed, processed and documented in compliance with the project requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience is required
  • Applicants will have a basic understanding of survey procedures and data collection and a level of knowledge to work independently.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects using raw field data and computer data.
  • Ability to apply land surveying methodologies, formulas, principles, and techniques to solve surveying related problems.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Extensive knowledge of Trimble Business Center
  • Working knowledge of Trimble GPS units and data collectors is preferred
  • Oil and Gas experience is required
  • Ability to review their own work for accuracy and completeness and the initiative to recommend solutions or improvements as appropriate.

GIS Analyst 

Pittsburgh, PA, Brunswick, ME or Asheville, NC 

Job Summary: 

  • Responsible for the on-going spatial data maintenance and dissemination, end-user support and the generation of maps and other GIS reports and information product;
  • Responsible for the compiling and organizing GIS data from maps, databases and other sources;
  • Responsible for the collection of data in the field using Global Positioning System (G.P.S.) units;
  • Responsible for the collection and conversion of mapping resources and data;
  • Responsible for the daily input and editing of client data;
  • Conduct programmatic and manual analysis and create reports and thematic maps on the data within the GIS
  • Ensure that quality assurance on new or revised data conforms to standards laid out in the GeoDatabase, or any other applicable standard or policy;
  • Responsible for the conversion, import and export data in and out of the GIS system;
  • Direct the preparation of regular status reports, highlighting GIS issues requiring attention;
  • Create and document procedures and metadata definitions.

Requirements:

  • Experience in analyzing spatial data in a land survey environment and translating client
  • requirements into appropriate GIS reports and thematic maps;
  • Knowledge of modern component-based GIS tools and methodology for oil and gas
  • GIS use cases;
  • 4-6 years’ experience and knowledge with GIS databases and editing using ESRI ArcGIS
  • software;

Mid-Level Drafter

Houston, TX, Broomfield, CO, Brunswick, ME or Asheville, NC 

 Job Summary:

  • Use AutoCAD to create pipeline alignment sheets, exhibits and permit drawings used to construct pipeline projects
  • Prepare design drawings with plan, section and detail format or plan and profile as designated
  • Prepare sketches of details not included on existing drawings to accurately reflect as-installed field conditions
  • Prepare drawings, forms, maps, and lists based on approved details provided by designers and engineers

Requirements:

  • 2 - 5 years drafting experience or education equivalent
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and legal descriptions drafting
  • Oil and gas industry experience required
  • Reading and understanding maps, plat maps, as-builts, construction drawings and gas service records for existing condition interpolation

 Designer/Blue Sky Developer - All locations

Job Summary:

  • Will develop and/or review alignment sheets, detailed construction drawings, including Plan & Profile, detailed crossings for land and marine, exhibit and permit drawings.
  • Will design pipelines and pipeline maps for our clients utilizing survey data, field notes and other key information.
  • Assemble delivery packages as specified by the client or Project Manager
  • Review all finished deliverables with the Project Manager and/or Survey & Mapping Manager for Quality Assurance and Quality Control

Requirements:

  • Must be proficient in the use of BlueSky and AutoCAD
  • Understand the process of preparing a drawing package
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Mapping and Pipeline Design.
  • Previous experience working on natural gas pipeline projects is a major plus.  

 

Field Survey Data Technicians - OH,PA,WV areas

Job Summary:

  • Administer and coordinate the project field survey data review and processing activities.
  • Review and processes survey data for completeness and accuracy immediately upon receipt from the field and respond to the survey manager in the most expeditious manner.
  • Coordinate the transfer of field collected data to the survey manager for pipeline mapping interface into map drafting activities and as necessary provides clarification and/or interpretation for resolution to any questions or discrepancies found with the interface.
  • Determine that all project survey tasks have been completed, reviewed, processed and documented in compliance with the project requirements.

Requirements:

  • Minimum experience 3-5 years CAD
  • Oil and gas experience required
  • Proficiency in PC computer operation, including spreadsheet and word processing programs.
  • Experience in database operations and the use of computer programs necessary for survey data review and transfer to mapping desired.
